Terms of Service
Last updated: October 15, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Radial Ventures LLC ("Zen", "we", "us"), which operates Zen.net. They apply when you visit zen.net, create an account, publish a page, connect a social account, use an @zen.net mailbox or custom domain, or buy a paid plan. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By creating an account or using Zen you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Zen.
Section 15 contains an arbitration agreement and class action waiver that affect how disputes are resolved. Please read it.
1. The service
Zen lets you claim a handle and publish a public page at zen.net, made up of cards such as links, social profiles, embedded media, feeds, and forms. Depending on your plan, Zen also offers lead capture forms, an @zen.net email address, and the ability to use your own domain. Features marked "coming soon" are not yet available and are not part of what you are paying for until they launch. We may change, add, or remove features over time. If we remove a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance.
2. Who can use Zen
You must be at least 13 years old to use Zen. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Zen only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you. You must be 18 or older to buy a paid plan. You may not use Zen if we have previously banned you, or if the law prohibits you from receiving our services.
If you use Zen on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
3. Your account
Give us accurate information and keep your email address current, because we use it to contact you and to verify requests. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at support@zen.net if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. Handles
Handles are unique, so they are a limited resource. A handle is licensed to you for as long as your account is in good standing. You do not own it, and you may not sell, rent, or transfer it. Free pages are published at zen.net/z/yourhandle, and paid pages at zen.net/yourhandle.
We may reserve handles for ourselves or for others, and we may remove or reassign a handle, if:
- it impersonates a person, brand, or organisation, or is likely to mislead people about who is behind it;
- it infringes a trademark or other right, or we receive a valid legal claim to it;
- it is offensive, or is used for phishing, spam, or other abuse;
- it was claimed only to hold or resell it; or
- the account has been inactive and its page unpublished for an extended period. We will email you first and give you a chance to keep it.
5. Your content
You own the content you put on Zen, including text, images, links, and anything shown from your connected accounts. We claim no ownership of it.
To run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt (for example to resize images or fit a layout), publish, and display your content, and to show it on your page, in previews and search results, and in our own promotion of Zen where your page is public. This licence lasts while your content is on Zen and ends when you delete it or your account, except for copies in routine backups for a limited time, and except where you have shared the content with others who have saved it.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to publish your content and to give us this licence, and that your content follows these terms and the law. You are responsible for your content. We do not review content before it is published, but we may remove or restrict content that we believe breaks these terms.
6. Acceptable use
Your page is public and carries the Zen name, so you agree not to use Zen to:
- break the law, or promote or facilitate illegal activity;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliations;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights;
- publish content that sexually exploits children, threatens or incites violence, promotes terrorism, or harasses, bullies, or targets people on the basis of protected characteristics;
- publish sexually explicit material, or link to adult content without the age confirmation Zen requires;
- run phishing, scams, pyramid schemes, or deceptive offers, or sell prohibited or regulated goods unlawfully;
- distribute malware, or link to pages that do;
- send spam, including from an @zen.net mailbox, or collect people's information without telling them;
- publish other people's private information without their permission;
- scrape, overload, probe, or disrupt Zen, get around its limits or security, or access accounts or data that are not yours; or
- break the terms of a platform whose account you connect or whose content you embed.
To report a page that breaks these rules, email support@zen.net with the page address and what is wrong.
7. Forms and the information you collect
If you add a newsletter or contact form to your page, you are responsible for the information visitors send you through it. You must tell visitors how you will use their information, use it only for that purpose, follow the privacy, anti-spam, and marketing laws that apply to you, and honour requests to stop contacting them or delete their details. We store submissions on your behalf, and once you download them, keeping them safe is your responsibility.
8. Connected accounts and third-party services
You can connect accounts you own on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, X, and Bluesky so your page can show your profile and recent posts. When you do, you authorise us to access that account read-only, as described in our Privacy Policy, and you confirm that the account is yours. We never post on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time.
Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms: the TikTok Terms of Service, the Instagram Terms of Use, the X Terms of Service, and the Bluesky Terms of Service. Zen is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any of these platforms. A platform may change or withdraw access at any time, and if it does, the related cards may stop working. We are not responsible for third-party services, or for content we display from them.
9. @zen.net mailboxes and custom domains
An @zen.net address is part of the Pro plan and is linked to your handle. You must use it lawfully and in line with section 6, and we may suspend it if it is used to send spam or abuse. If your Pro plan ends or your account is deleted, the address stops working and its mail may be deleted, so keep copies of anything you need.
If you connect your own domain, you must own or control it and keep its registration current. You are responsible for its DNS settings. If your domain lapses or is pointed elsewhere, your page will stop being served from it.
10. Paid plans, automatic renewal, and cancellation
Zen has a free plan and paid plans. Current prices and features are shown on our plans page before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Paid plans renew automatically. When you subscribe, you authorise us to charge your payment method the plan price, plus any applicable tax, at the start of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as you choose) until you cancel. Your plan renews at the price then in effect. If we raise the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in your account, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your paid features continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account moves to the free plan: your page moves from zen.net/yourhandle to zen.net/z/yourhandle, and paid features such as forms, your @zen.net mailbox, and custom domains stop working.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused features, except where the law requires otherwise. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@zen.net within 30 days of the charge and we will look into it.
If a payment fails, we may retry it and may move your account to the free plan until it succeeds. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income.
11. Copyright complaints
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on Zen infringes your copyright, send our copyright agent a notice that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
- the address of the page and a description of the content you want removed;
- your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
Send notices to Copyright Agent, Radial Ventures LLC, Seneca One Tower, 1 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY 14203, United States, or email support@zen.net with the subject "Copyright notice". If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice with the information the law requires. We will end the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Zen at any time, cancel your plan as described in section 10, and ask us to delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close your account, unpublish your page, or remove content, if you break these terms, if we must do so by law, or if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us, other users, or the public. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period. If we close it because you broke these terms, we will not.
Sections 5 (to the extent needed to wind down), 7, and 13 to 17 survive the end of this agreement.
13. Disclaimers
Zen is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise that Zen will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that content will be preserved, or that any third-party platform will keep working with Zen. Member pages are created by members, and we do not endorse or verify what they say, except where we have expressly marked a page as verified.
14. Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent the law allows, Zen and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to these terms or Zen, even if we were told they were possible.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or Zen is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100.
Some places do not allow some of these exclusions or limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zen and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of Zen, the information you collect through your page, or your breach of these terms or the law. We will tell you about any such claim and may take part in its defence with our own counsel.
15. Disputes, arbitration, and class action waiver
If you have a dispute with us, email support@zen.net first. Most problems can be solved that way, and both of us agree to try to resolve a dispute informally for at least 30 days before starting a formal proceeding.
If we cannot resolve it, you and Zen agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Zen will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration may be held remotely or in the county where you live. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and either of us may ask a court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
You and Zen each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person.
You can opt out of this section by emailing support@zen.net within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name, your handle, and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will proceed in court and not in arbitration.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim not subject to arbitration will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Zen consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you also keep any protection the mandatory law of your country gives you.
17. General
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and Zen about the service. If any part of them is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we are not giving it up. You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and if a change is material we will tell you by email or in the product at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Zen after the change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using Zen and cancel your plan before then.
